  • ProBion Matrix Tablet efficiently delivers, feeds (synbiotic) and protects vigorous and non-damaged bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract for extended periods of time.
  • Cultures are protected against gastric and bile acids and additionally by mucus forming protective molecules of Xanthan.
  • Unique structure of this ingenious tablet form is produced with a low-compression technology where less than 10% of the conventional compression force is used. This ensures the greatest "aliveness" or viability of the bacteria cultures during production and after.
  • Dry tablet that contains vigorous bacteria embedded into a matrix with Inulin (considered as prebiotic metabolic fibre) and mucous forming Xanthan. Inulin consists of FPS (fructopolysaccharides) and FOS (fructooligosaccharides) defining both matrix protection and feed for the bacteria. Inulin and Xanthan regulate the disintegration profile of the tablet by forming a sheltering cover around the bacteria. The tablet slowly dissolves during the passage through the stomach and the small intestine. The bacteria are thus directly exposed to a large area of the digestive tract. This is unique for this tablet as compared to other tablets, powders, and capsules.
  • The ingenious tablets manufactured have profound sustained storage viability with a controlled timed release profile enabling viable bacteria to expose the gastrointestinal tract under prolonged duration. Collaboration with the research groups at the University of Gothenburg and the Sahlgrenska University Hospital yields an excellent platform for validation analyses. Viable but Freezed-Dried

The photos show what it looks like within one of the cavities. The bacteria are viable but freeze-dried and are activated when they reach the intestine. The tablet dissolves slowly and the viable bacteria are spread over a large area of the intestine. Together with the inulin fibres the bacteria start rebalancing the intestinal microflora

When “normal” compression forces are used during production of tablets the major part of the bacteria are killed. The structure of the tablet s similar to blocks of cement in which there are no space for living bacteria.
